Franklin Pierce Young, 59, of 3821 Airport Road Bluefield, West Virginia passed away on Saturday, September 05, 2009 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, West Virginia.
Mr. Young was born on November 04, 1949 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Roscoe Young and Martha McCarty Young. He had been a resident of Bluefield, West Virginia since 1972. He had worked for Joy Manufacturing in Bluefield, Virginia and was a retired supervisor with Cimarron Coach of Virginia. He served our country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Marines where he received two purple hearts.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother; Zinner Young.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with Rev. Donnie Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia where the West Virginia Honor guard and Mercer County Veterans Council, will conduct Military Graveside rites.
Friends and family may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia on Wednesday, September 09, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m.
Friends and family will be serving as pallbearers.
