Eddie Dean Shephard

Eddie Dean Shephard, age 53, of 6004 Poole Road, Lot 1, Raleigh, North Carolina, formerly of Bluefield, died on Tuesday October 26, 2010 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born on April 25, 1957 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Charles Alexander and Martha Gladys Williams Shephard. He had lived in Raleigh for the past 22 years and was a maintenance supervisor for Drucker and Faulk Company in Raleigh. He loved the outdoors and especially loved fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles Shephard and Susan Jane and Crutchfield Shephard Asbury; William Mack Williams and Margaret; Victory Shinault Williams; brothers, Charles Shephard (Jay) and Curtis Shephard; sister Juanita Shephard Turner. Survivors: Wife: Virginia Smith Shephard of the home Son: Jason Shephard of Raleigh, NC Daughter: Kimberly Gisbon and D.J. of Apex, NC Mother-in-Law: Eva Joyce Ferguson of Princeton, WV Father and Mother-in-Law: Cecil and Sue Smith of Louisana Brothers: Roger Shephard and wife Bonnie of Tazewell, VA Michael Shephard and wife Michelle of Bluefield, WV Sisters: Eleanor Johnson and husband Donald of Bluefield , WV Betty Akers of Bluefield, WV Maxine Tinsley and husband Larry of Roundrock, TX Helen Stamper and husband Kenny of Bluefield, WV His grandchildren and fishing buddies, Jordan Gibson, Tyler Nicole Gibson, and Lucas Kennedy Special Friends: Gene Stanley, Willie Taylor, Everette Branch as well as all of his friends at Americamps at Lake Gaston. He is also survived by a host of cousins, 28 nephews, and 18 nieces. Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at 7:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev.
