Gregory Franklin Beggs

Gregory Franklin Beggs, age 41, of 468 Rosenbuam Road (Abbs Valley), Bluefield, VA, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 2:00 PM from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born on September 20, 1967 in Mercer County, he was a son of Anna Nichols Beggs Mitchem of Montcalm and the late Garland Beggs. She had been a resident of Abbs Valley for 12 years and was a graduate of Montcalm High School. Survivors include: Wife of 21 years: Sheliah Ball Beggs of the home his mother: Anna Nichols Beggs Mitchem and stepfather Alvis Mitchem of Montcalm 1 daughter: Sabrina Beggs of home 2 brothers: Dale Beggs and wife Janet of Gatesville, TX Albert Mitchem and wife Amanda of Colliers, WV 2 sisters: Cynthia Rose and husband David of Boissevain, VA Nancy Andrews of Washington Step grandmother: Louise Mitchem of Brushfork Graveside services will be conducted on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Beggs Family Cemetery at Windmill Gap with Rev. David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday from 1:00 – 1:30 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
