Iona Bell Simon

GARY, WV--- Iona Bell Simon age 84, of PO Box 220 Gary, WV formerly of Maybeury, WV passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at McDowell Nursing and Rehab Center in Gary, WV. Born September 28, 1924 in WV, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Susie Proffitt Day. Ms. Simon was a resident of the Maybeury area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the Maybeury Church of God. Survivors include Two sons Marshall A. Simon of Maybeury, WV Jerry E. Simon of Bluefield, WV Two Daughters Carol Cockerham of Princeton, WV Sharon Toney of Florida Two Sisters Della Spencer of Michigan Mae Wilkens of Huntington, WV Six Grandchildren and Six Great-grandchildren Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 1, 2009 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV. Those wishing to attend services are requested to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Saturday at 9:30 a.m. Family and Friends will serve as Pallbearers.
