Vera M. Keys

BLUEFIELD — Vera M. Keys, age 92, of Rt. 3, Box 337, Bluefield, W.Va., died on Friday, December 18, 2009 at her residence.Born on June 22, 1917 in Duhring, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Chester B. and Kate Arrington Mullin. She had lived in Duhring her entire life and was a member of the Duhring Church of Christ. She had retired from R and T Electric where she worked as a tape machine operator. In addition to her parents, her husband, Garnett Ted Keys; a son, Ted Keys; a daughter, Janet Keys; a grandson, Jeff Keys; a granddaughter, Karen Keys; her sisters, Ruth Mabe, Alma Lusk, Viola Foy, Sadie Mabe and Amy Mullin; and brother, Fred Mullin preceded her in death.Survivors: sons, Ronald Keys of Bluefield, W.Va., Tommy Keys of Bluefield, W.Va.; daughter, Norma Underwood of Dallas, Texas; brother: William C. Mullin of Seabrook, Md.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Minister Harold Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
