Mary Ellen Wimmer

Mary Ellen Wimmer, age 68, of 546 Prator Hollow Road, Falls Mills, VA, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2009 at her residence. Born on January 14, 1941 in McComas, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Ruby E. Crowder Graham. She had been a resident of Falls Mills for 50 years and was a member of the Voice of Calvary in Princeton. She retired from the Administrative Registration Department at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death a grandson, Kevin L. Meade; and sisters, Joyce Nichols and Agnes Scelfo. Survivors include her husband, James E. Wimmer of the home; a son, Jimmy D. Wimmer of the home; four daughters, Sheilah M. Meade of Bluefield, VA, Christina L. Reckling of Temecula, CA, Sabrinia K. Caston of Iowa Park, TX, and Patricia A. Harris of New London, CT; 19 grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Fink of Tukerton, NJ, and Linda Graham of Falls Mills, VA; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Michael Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. A reception following burial will follow at the Voice of Calvary in Princeton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
