Margaret A. Holloway

Margaret A. Holloway, age 79, of the Maples Nursing Home in Bluefield, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on December 6, 1929 in McDowell County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mary Hanchock Roebuck. She had been a resident of Mercer County most of her life and was a retired waitress for Roma III in Princeton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oakley Holloway; and 2 sisters, Mary Sheets and Helen Hawthorne. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Compton of Mocksville, NC; and two brothers, Danny Roebuck of Bluefield, and Rusty Roebuck of Board, CA. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Larry White officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
