Willard Lee Hicks

Willard Lee Hicks, 67, of Rt. 584 Box 433 Anawalt, West Virginia passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia. Mr. Hicks was born on June 18, 1942 in Wilcoe, West Virginia to the late Glen Hicks and Grace Cleary Hicks. He had been a resident of McDowell County for life and had been a logger by profession. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Margaret Hicks, one brother Harold Hicks and two daughters Sandra Lee Hicks and Helen Martha Hicks. Left to cherish his memory is His wife Helen Martha Littleton Hicks of Anawalt, West Virginia Five Daughters:Brenda Lee Hicks Presley of Bluewell, West Virginia Margaret Ann Hicks of Christiansburg, Virginia Tammy Lee Kolarich and husband Charles of Radford, Virginia Goldie Ann Hicks of Pageton, West Virginia. Ellen Ann Claus and husband Thomas of Sanford, North Carolina. One Sister: Patsey Tunnell of War, West Virginia Nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia. Burial will follow the service at the Hicks Family Cemetery in Big Creek, West Virginia. Friends and family may call at the Craven-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and special friends John Dale, Rocky Sanson and Angela Presley.
