Ailene Lockhart

Aliene Lockhart, age 70, of New Hope Road (PO Box 3743), Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2009 from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Born on September 1, 1938 in Williamson, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Gertrude Varney Bevins. She had formerly been a resident of Gary for 46 years and of Bluefield for 7 years. She was a member of the Gary Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Teddy. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Willie M. Lockhart of Bluefield; a son, Carson Bevins and wife Tina of Galloway, OH; a granddaughter, Crystal Bevins; two brothers, Leroy Bevins of Statesville, NC and Harold Bevins of Hurley, VA; and sisters, Mary Kirk of Maringo, OH, Evelyn Cline of narrows, VA, and Muriel Daugherty of Pickerington, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 1, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Don Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Wallace Lockhart, Nicholas Lockhart, Ronnie Lockhart, Merle Lockhart, Lawrence Lockhart and Woodrow Johnson serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
