Donna L. Belcher Christian, 59, of Tobaccoville, North Carolina passed away on August 08, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Born on April 13, 1950 in Superior, West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Riley and Minerva Milam Belcher and the Biological daughter of the late Sadie Belcher Felts. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister Laura Belcher Peaks, one brother Lonnie E. Belcher and one brother in law Robert (Bob) Green. She had been a resident of Tobaccoville, North Carolina for 25 years. She was a dedicated employee of the Salemtown Retirement Community for 23 years. She also attended Gospel Mission Baptist Church in Tobaccoville, North Carolina. Survivors Include: Her husband: Jerry R. Christian of the home, two son?s: Erik R. Christian of the home and Christopher S. Christian of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Two sisters: Ruby and Jim Filosofos of Niagara Falls, New York and Janice I. Green of Laurel Fork, Virginia. One brother: Onnie and Alice Belcher of Bramwell, West Virginia. Half brothers and sisters: Kathy Felts Humphries of Cleveland, Ohio, Bob Felts of Botkins, Ohio, Ricky Felts and Sherri Thomas of Cleveland, Ohio. Brother and sister in laws: Ron and Sue Christian of Welch/Pineville Road, West Virginia and Bob and Brenda Christian of Pineville, West Virginia. Many special nieces and nephews and a special friend Mary Parrish. Donna will be sadly missed by her family, friends and patients. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral home in Bluewell, West Virginia with the Rev. Oscar Hill of Laurel Fork, Virginia officiating the service. Friends and family may call at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 from 12:00 p.m. (noon) until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, West Virginia. Serving as pallbearers will be friends and nephews. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice, 235 N. Main St., P.O. Box 863 Walnut Cove, North Carolina 27052 ?God saw her getting tired, a cure not meant to be, so he put his arms around her and whispered come with me?.
