Peggy Jane Clark

Peggy Jane Clark, age 82, of 205 Jackson Street, Bluefield, WV, died on Friday, August 14, 2009 at Bluefield Regional Hospital. Born on March 3, 1927, in ripplemead, VA, she was a daughter of the late James Marshal Bowles and Pearl Florence Bowles. She had lived in Bluefield, WV for the past 74 years and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Bluefield, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Lacy Clark; a son Samuel Lacy Clark; a sister Margie Hillyer; and 5 brothers, Kenneth Marshal ,James Darrel, Leon Billy, and Mosses Harvey Bowles as well as an infant brother. Survivors:Sons: William Walter Clark and wife Martha of Bland, VA and Jackie Lee Clark of Princeton, WV. Daughters: Barbara Ann Clark of the home, Wanda Mae Williams of the home, Shirley Mae Pratt and husband Danny of Newport News, VA. Frances Rhea Presley and husband Denny of Bluefield, WV and Julia Faye Clark of the home. Sisters: Mary Joan Williamson of Swansboro, NC and Betty Ellen Bowles of pearisburg, VA 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren Several nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Steve umberger and Rev. Danny shortridge officiating. Burial will follow at birchlawn Memorial Park in pearisburg, VA. Pallbearers will be William W. Clark, Jr, James Darrel Clark, Denny Presley, Danny Pratt, Donald Bowles and Charlie Norris. Honorary pallbearer Buddy Presley Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
