Duane Fitzhugh Proffitt

NORTH TAZWEWELL, VA--- Duane Fitzhugh Proffitt “Sniper” age 37, of 759 Mundy Town Road North Tazewell, VA went home to his Savior where he will have no more pain or tears on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at Tazewell Community Hospital. Born November 6, 1971 at Bluefield, WV he was the son of Timmy and Iris Tabor Proffitt. He was a resident of the North Tazewell area for four years and was a Truck Driver. He was a loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Mary E. Tabor and Fitzhugh Lee Tabor; Mother-in-law, Sylvia Paxton. Left to cherish his memory include Wife, Robin Bixby Proffitt of North Tazewell, VA whom will miss him greatly Three daughters, Kaila, Jessy, and Tanya Bixby of the home. One son, Joshua Bixby and wife Jessica Also left to cherish his memory is his parents Timmy L. Proffitt Sr. and Iris L. Proffitt whom he always wanted to protect and be there for. Also left is Sheri Rose and Husband Kelly Rose and Children Trevor and LeAndra Sister, Michelle Proffitt and Fiancé Bryan Whitt (Best friend) and Children, Jaden, Zachery, and Autumn Brother, Timmy L. Proffitt, Jr. and Wife Michele and Children Sabra and Temperance. Funeral services will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2009 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV with Pastor Dave Graves officiating. Friends may call Friday, October 16, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
