William Arthur Mitchem

William Arthur Mitchem, age 59, of Methodist Hill (PO Box 411), Montcalm, WV, died on Friday, September 11, 2009 at his home. Born on March 10, 1950 in Hampton, VA, he was a son of the late Juanita Hendrick Mitchem. He had been a resident of Montcalm for 25 years and attended the Memorial Church of Christ. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Mitchem. Survivors include his: Wife: Connie Hodge Mitchem of Montcalm 2 daughters: Marie Johnson and husband Charlie of Montcalm Juanita Clower and husband Kevin of Salem, VA Grandchildren: Cory Mitchem, Cody Lawson, Garrett Clower, Logan Clower, Preston Clower, Lauren Clower, Kristin Johnson, Matthew Johnson, and Charles Wayne Johnson Sisters: Debbie Mitchem of Montcalm Christine Bordoux of Montcalm Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Frank Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA where Buddy Hawks, Jeff Crotty, Richard Hodge, Shannon Hodge, Chuck Johnson, and Ernie Sizemore will serve as pallbearers. Don Helmandollar will serve as honorary pallbearer. Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
