Peggy Ann Johnson

Peggy Ann Johnson, age 59, of 6 Breezewood Drive, Hampton, GA and formerly of Maybeury, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2009 at a Stockbridge, GA hospital. Born on September 8, 1949 in Bluefield, she was a daughter of the late Nancy Scott. She had been a resident of Georgia for 17 years and attended the Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She worked for several years as a secretary for the City of Lovejoy, Georgia and was a member of the City Council. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Ronald Johnson, Sr. Survivors include: 2 sons: Roy Ronald Johnson, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Princeton and Joshua Michael Johnson and wife Katherine of Atlanta, GA 4 grandsons: Cody, Casey, Logan, and Dallas An uncle: Tommy Lawrence of Bellefontaine, OH An aunt: Shirley Stone of Atlanta, GA Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Rev. Olen Robertson officiating. Burial will follow with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 AM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
