Stephen Gregory Whitlow

Stephen Gregory Whitlow, age 54, of C-4 Leatherwood Apartments, Bluefield, VA, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at a Bluefield hospital. Born on July 14, 1955 in Bluefield, he was a son of Doris Feazell Whitlow of Princeton and the late Sidney R. Whitlow. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 20 years and was of the Methodist faith. He was a security guard. Survivors in addition to his mother include: Daughter: Lynda Whitlow of Jacksonville, FL Daughter in law: Janet Whitlow of Kernersville, NC 2 brothers: Phillip Whitlow and wife Jane of Charlotte, NC Sidney Marshall Whitlow of Las Vegas, NV 3 sisters: Barbara Carlton of Bluefield, VA Brenda Bowman and husband Clifford of Bluefield, VA Janice Jennings and husband James of Panama City, FL Several nieces and nephews Special friends: Carlie Belcher Joann Lambert and her children Natasha and Hunter Sizemore Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. William Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA where Eric Scott, Steven Smith, Greg Whitlow, Hunter Sizemore, and Keith Bowman will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
