BLUEFIELD, WV--- Junior Clarence Gills, age 87, of Freight Station Place Princeton, West Virginia passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born September 5, 1919 at Montcalm, WV he was the son of the late Stewart Thomas and Callie Scott Gills. Mr. Gills had been a resident of Bluefield and Princeton for the past ten years. He was of the Pentecostal of Holiness faith. Had been a member of the Moose Lodge for the past 60 years and was retired for the railroad and as a coal miner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Sadie Smith Gills, three sons Lewis Gills, Larry Gills and Emory Gills, three brothers Howard Gills, Nelson Gills and Clinton Gills, five sisters Margaret Pugh, Beatrice Stacy, Mildred Smith, Irene Gills and Lorraine Gills. Survivors Include: His loving wife Goldie Mae Gills of Bluefield, West Virginia, One daughter Christine Scott of South Carolina, Three brothers Sidney Hall of Florida, Bernard Gills of Bluefield, West Virginia and Joey Gills of Rocky Gap, Virginia. One sister Ruth Lovell of Amherst, Ohio. Several nieces, nephews and cousins several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 06, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, West Virginia with the Rev. Eddie Johnson and Andy Byrd officiating the service. Graveside rites will be held on Wednesday, October 07, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hampton Memorial Gardens in Hampton, Virginia.
