Dovie A. Bentley, age 93, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at her home.
Born on November 27, 1915 at Ennis, she was a daughter of the late Melvin Johnson and Inez Johnson Blevins. Mrs. Bently was a member of the Pineville Pentecostal Church of God. She had been a resident of Pineville of 60 years and was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Bentley in 1979; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Ted L. Kelley, Sr.; step granddaughter, Rhonda Roberts; three brothers and sisters in law, Elsworth and Louise Johnson, Edward and Nancy Johnson, and Allen and Delphie Johnson; and brothers in law, Arthur Simon and Clinton Yates, Sr.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Connie Morgan and husband Earl (Buddy) and grandson Bud who cared and pampered her until her death.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Ricky Profitt officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may call on Wednesday prior to services from 11:00-1:00 at the funeral home.
