McCOMAS — Margaret L. Davis, age 77, loving mother and grandmother, ended her journey in this life and went to be with her LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 24, 2009 while at her home at Rt. 2, Box 352, McComas, W.Va.Born on December 3, 1931, in McComas, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert David and Cora Mae Stevens Huffman. She had lived in McComas her entire life and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Crane Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church where she attended her entire life. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She loved working in the church. She will be remembered by all for her love of cooking and making sure you never left her house hungry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Everett Cletis Davis; five brothers, Troy Huffman, Ray Huffman, Glen Huffman, Albert Huffman and Luther Huffman; and two sisters, Helen Spicer and Thelma Mitchem.Those left behind to cherish her memory are: daughters: Sandra Bailey and husband Dennis of Matoaka, W.Va., Donna Coeburn and husband Mark of McComas, W.Va., Brenda Davis of the home; Sons: Rev. Michael E. Davis and wife Tina of Rainelle, W.Va., Terry Davis and wife Angela of McComas, W.Va.; Sister: Elsie Bailey of McComas, W.Va.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friendsFuneral services will be held on Monday, July 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastors Jeffery Hatfield, Kevin Richardson and grandsons, Scott Bailey and Michael Davis officiating the service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where friends and family will be serving as pallbearers.Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
