Mike John Grahovac

Mike John Grahovac, age 81, of Conklintown, WV, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born on August 13, 1928, in Thorpe, he was a son of the late Eli and Clara Grahovac. He had been a resident of Anawalt for 60 years and was a member of the Jenkinjones Methodist Church. He was the former owner of McDowell Tire & Tread. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Grahovac; a son- in-law, Joseph Ricky Nogosky; a sister, Mary Vargo; and brothers, Tom and Frank Grahovac . Survivors include: Wife of 60 years: Ellen Belcher Grahovac of the home Son: John Grahovac of Conklintown Daughter: Patricia Nogosky of Alabaster, AL Granddaughter: Nicole Askew and husband Jason of Alabaster, AL Grandson: Brad Grahovac of Princeton Sister: Anna Grahovac of Anawalt Great Grandchildren: Nicholas and Jana Ellen of Alabaster, AL Special caregiver: Glenn Shoun and Doug Miller Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Rev. Cliff Miller officiating. Burial will follow with Doug Miller, Brad Grahovac, Glen Shoun, Jerry Stepp and Mike Rose will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend graveside services are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:30.
