William Franklin Parks

William Franklin Parks, age 76, of PO Box 97, Jenkinjones, WV, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2009 at his residence. Born on May 11, 1933 in Squire, he was a son of the late Lillian Parks. He had been a lifelong resident of Jenkinjones and was retired from Cole’s Bakery in Bluefield. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Ann Parks; and a brother, Ronald Johnson. Survivors include: Children: Mary Dudley of Coalwood Vivian Fowler of Bluefield William Parks of Bluefield Lillian Parks of the home Bobby Parks of the home Ronald Parks of the home Grandchildren: Ketelyn Thomas, Marissa Dudley, Fred Fowler, Shane Fowler, Haleigh Parks and Breanne Mullins 3 brothers: Claude Johnson of O’Toole Kenny Johnson of VA Jimmy Johnson of VA 6 sisters: Dorothy Johnson of Anawalt Doris Church of Anawalt Ellen Sanson of VA Mary Ackerman of PA Jean Johnson of Anawalt Gloria Johnson of Anawalt Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Donnie Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Tuesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
