Edward Lee Comer, Jr., Retired CW4, age 78, of Route 2 Box 750 (East Cumberland Road), Bluefield, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at a Bluefield hospital.
Born on February 18, 1931 in Maybeury, he was a son of the late Edward Lee Comer, Sr. and Eva Sexton Comer. He had been a resident of Bluefield for most of his life and was an active member of the Thompson Chapel United Methodist Church, where he served as a lay speaker. He served our country in the US Marines Reserve and actively served in the Berlin Crisis and was retired with the US Army National Guard in Brushfork.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, SGT. James M. Comer; and a brother, Jackie R. Comer.

Roger S. Comer and wife Ellen of Commerce City, CO
Joe Comer and wife Connie of Gillete, WY
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Brushfork National Guard Armory in Brushfork with Pastors Ronald Thomure and A. W. Skeens officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where full military honors will be conducted.
Friends may call on Friday from 6-9 PM at the Brushfork National Guard Armory.
