Freda Pauline Munsey

Freda Pauline Riggs Munsey, age 80, of Rt. 3, Box 687, Bluefield, WV (Lorton Lick Road) died on Friday June 19, 2009 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born on July 11, 1928, in Mercer County, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert T. Riggs Sr. and Rachel Day Riggs. She was a resident of Mercer County her entire life and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Munsey; sisters, Hazel White, Marjorie Shrader, Nellie Kinzer, Macile Miles, and Lorraine Glass; and brother, Kenneth Riggs. Survivors: Son: Mark Allen White and wife Joan of Rt. 3, Bluefield, WV Brother: Gilbert T. Riggs, Jr. of Martinsville, VA Sisters: Dorothy Riggs Hill of Martinsville, VA Elizabeth Jones of Rt. 3, Bluefield, WV Grandson: David Allen White and wife Tonya of Bluefield Great-Grandchildren: Noah and Taylor White Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Michael Hartwell officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pallbearers will be David White, Michael White, Timothy Jones, Jason Jones, Daniel Punturi, and Brian Punturi. Honorary pallbearers will be David Punturi, Nindo Punturi and Stewart White Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
