John Maurice Pannell

John Maurice Pannell, age 55, of 58, Casteel Road, Oakland, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at his residence. Born on February 15, 1954 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Hasque and Blanche Stallard Pannell. He had been a resident of Oakland for several years and was a carpenter by trade. He attended the Church of the Brethren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Bailey, and brothers, Larry and Jerry Pannell. Survivors include: Wife: Etta Pannell of the home 1 son: Alan Finely of Kleen, TX 3 daughters: Tammy Lynn Ray of Oakland, MD; Lori Riemer of Silver Springs, MD; and Marsha Fridley of Hagerstown, MD 14 grandchildren 6 brothers: Jimmy Pannell of Plant City, FL; Freddie Pannell of Falls Mills, VA; Carrol Pannell of Wise, VA; Charlie Pannell of Falls Mills, VA; Roger Pannell of Oakland, MD; and Joe Pannell of Lake Wells, FL 1 sister: Brenda Sue Garvin of Princeton Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, July 24, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Jim Drake officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
